Manage the orderBake, update and fulfil

Create your first product

Add a product customers can understand and confidently order.

Open Products

From the baker dashboard, select Products in the sidebar and choose Add product.

Add the essentials

Enter the product name, description, base price and category.

Upload a strong photo

Use a bright, clear image showing the product customers will receive.

Set fulfilment options

Choose whether the product is available for collection, delivery or both.

Publish

Review the preview and publish the product to your storefront.

Good practice: Include allergens and portion information wherever relevant. Clear information reduces customer questions and protects trust.

View and update orders

Use the order workflow to keep every customer and bake on track.

Open Orders

The newest orders appear first. Filter by fulfilment date or status when planning a bake.

Review the details

Open an order to see products, quantities, customer notes, payment status and collection or delivery details.

Update progress

Move the order through Not started, In oven, Complete and Out for delivery as appropriate.

Contact the customer

Use the saved contact details and prepared update message if clarification is needed.

Complete the order

Mark it fulfilled once it has been collected or delivered.

Good practice: Update statuses as you work. The dashboard can then give customers accurate progress updates automatically.

Set prices and run offers

Keep normal prices, temporary discounts and product availability accurate.

Choose a product

Open Products and select the item you want to change.

Set the base price

Enter the standard selling price customers should normally see.

Add options carefully

Price upgrades such as larger sizes, fillings or gift packaging separately.

Create an offer

Enable On offer, set the promotional price and choose the start and end dates.

Check the storefront

Confirm that the original and offer prices display correctly before sharing the product.

Good practice: Avoid permanently discounting everything. Short, specific offers are clearer to customers and make the promotion feel meaningful.

Mark products out of stock

Temporarily hide ordering without deleting product information.

Open Products

Find the product that cannot currently be fulfilled.

Change availability

Switch the product from In stock to Out of stock.

Choose visibility

Keep it visible as sold out, or hide it completely from the storefront.

Restore when ready

Switch it back to In stock when ingredients or capacity are available.

Good practice: Use out-of-stock rather than deleting a product. You retain its photos, description, analytics and previous order history.

Pause or close your shed

Stop new orders during holidays, capacity limits or temporary closures.

Open Shed settings

Go to Settings and select Availability.

Choose a pause period

Set the date and time new orders should stop and, if known, when ordering should reopen.

Add a customer message

Explain briefly why ordering is paused and when customers should check back.

Review existing orders

Pausing the shed does not cancel orders already accepted, so confirm your existing commitments.

Reopen

Return to Availability and resume ordering when you are ready.

Good practice: For a short busy period, consider limiting collection dates or product quantities instead of closing the entire shed.
